Jeffrey H. Brochin, JD Mr. Brochin received his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, and earned his BA in Humanities from the University of Minnesota with Departmental Honors.
After law school he was an associate with the Chicago firm of Lapat & Sokolow where he practiced Real Estate and Estate Planning law. He then served as Administrative Law Judge with the Illinois Department of Labor for six years where he presided over Unemployment Insurance hearings and gained valuable experience in Employment and Labor law issues which would prove to be of great benefit for his future business clients.
He was recruited for the positions of In-house Counsel and Director of Development for a Chicago-area college where he gained experience in representing not-for-profit organizations and overseeing their funding. In 1985 he opened his Chicago practice concentrating in Real Estate transactions, Commercial Leases, Estate Planning, Contracts, and represention of small and medium sized businesses. His clients have included a nationally-known Chicago jewelry retailer, real estate brokerages, condominium associations, and several not-for-profit charitable organizations.
In 2003 he was hired as start-up CEO of a major paralegal outsourcing company which prepares title insurance and lease abstracting documentation. He grew the company from an initial staff of 8 employees to over 180 in less than four years and opened two branch offices. The company continues to serve as the back-office for the original businesses as well as for a Call Center operation and a FOREX trading staff which he also set up. In 2007 he left to resume his practice of law utilizing the global online Virtual Law Office format so as to electronically handle the speedy and affordable processing of his clients' legal and business document needs.
He has taught Business Law at the American Institute for Paralegal Studies, and is a lecturer for the Business Faculty of the Jerusalem College of Technology in Jerusalem.
